With our individual consulting, we seek to increase the number of start-ups from the university sector in general, but also wish to promote start-ups from the research sector in particular. Therefore, we provide extensive consulting and support for the EXIST start-up scholarship (Gründerstipendium) and research transfer (Forschungstransfer).

With this program, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy supports innovative technology-oriented or knowledge-based projects with a unique selling point. Students, graduates and scientists from universities and non-university research institutions are eligible for funding for a period of 12 months.
The funds are used to cover personal living expenses, initial investments and start-up coaching. The aim is to help young entrepreneurs go full steam ahead with their project, work out the business plan and help them set up a viable business.

Research results with start-up potential are supported with two funding phases to answer questions how to translate scientific results into technical products and processes, and to turn the business idea based thereof into a business plan and lay the foundation to set up the business.

You want to turn your business idea into reality and participate in an accelerator program? Experienced experts will support you from the first idea to market maturity with the Hessen Ideen Scholarship.
Graduates (Bachelor and Master students) from Hessen state universities can apply and the most innovative start-up ideas receive a 6-month grant and a qualifying accelerator program with workshops that strengthen your entrepreneurial skills and give you the chance to network with other start-ups.
Become part of this unique program, which provides competent support for start-ups in their early stages. The Hessen Ideen Scholarship is a great start for further funding programs, such as the EXIST Start-up Scholarship of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

With this competition, the State of Hesse together with universities and companies aim to provide a stage for students to present their innovative
ideas, and to encourage and support them. The competition is all about exciting ideas, which do not have to be worked out in detail yet. It takes place twice a year.

Hessen Ideen Crowdfunding supports start-up ideas from Hessen’s universities on their way to implementation. A crowdfunding campaign can be a building block here, for example, if you want to produce the first series of your products. By means of crowdfunding you can finance a (partial) project of your start-up. A group of people (the crowd) who are enthusiastic about your idea gives you money for the implementation, while you offer them various rewards – also called “thank yous” – in return.
Apply for Hessen Ideen’s matchfunding campaign, raise capital with the crowd, and get a chance at 1:1 cofunding up to 5,000 euros!
Applications can be sent in continuously during the term of Hessen Ideen Crowdfunding. However, they must be received by the 10th of the month in order to be evaluated by the jury in the same month.

push! is your chance: The start-up grant from the state of Hesse helps you develop your idea into a viable business model. With a one-time grant of up to €40,000 within one year, you gain time in which you can devote your full attention to your start-up – to take your company a good step forward.
The grant is a subsidy for the development and implementation of innovative business models and for the establishment and expansion of the start-up (purpose of the grant). It is intended to contribute to financing in the early phase. The project period is limited to twelve months. Grants are awarded to start-ups with innovative, economically viable and sustainable business models. This includes technological and non-technological innovations, in particular novel products, service, process, organizational and marketing offerings.
Start-ups that contribute to solving urgent future issues (in particular sustainability in line with the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 (Transforming our world: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – Sustainable Development Goals) are particularly eligible for funding.
